How To Be The Best You Can Be Everyday – Achieve You Goals!
The road to success in life is trying to become your best version everyday. It’s the mindset that the most successful people on earth have. Constant actions to be the best you can be everyday will eventually make you successful at life.
I made a promise to myself long ago that I will do everything I can do to improve myself and be successful. That promise always keeps me going and it provides with a lot of motivation no matter what.
It’s not easy to stay consistent, because doing it everyday can be quite hard, especially if you have many distractions in your life. To be the best you can be everyday you have to beat yourself, don’t allow your monkey mind to tell you it’s Okay to do nothing today, that it’s alright if you become a better version of yourself tomorrow and not today.
Take action today, not tomorrow. Defeat your lazy self today and keep doing it for the rest of your life. Don’t allow your mind to stop you from reaching your goals today.
See, if you can’t beat yourself first, then you won’t be able to beat anyone else with this mindset.
How To Be The Best You Can Be Everyday
There are a lot of things you can do everyday to become a better version of yourself. Take action on these things and you will see massive improvement in your life!
1. Get Some Hobbies!
Not having any hobbies is really bad. Hobbies are a great because it gives you room to improve yourself every day. If you’re really into a hobby, you
always want to become better at it. Hobbies gives you new ways to look at life, increases your knowledge, develops new skills, you become more interesting and it challenges you all the time to take consistent action if you want to improve. You also start wasting less time on meaningless things and prevent bad habits.
And don’t just stick to the same hobbies all your life! It’s important to attain new hobbies because you have to stretch yourself to fit in mentally, emotionally and physically. Start challenging yourself!
2. Learn From Your Mistakes
All of us fail and do mistakes. It’s inevitable, it’s part of life. But personal development comes only when you start learning from your mistakes.
To learn from your mistakes, you have to blame yourself for every mistake you make.
Johnny wanted to become better at passing the ball when playing basketball so he started searching for video tutorials online. He liked what he found and decided to put it into practice. He tried doing all those things he just saw but soon realized it’s not working as he expected.
Every time he tried his new techniques something went wrong. A teammate didn’t catch the ball, the pass went out of bounds, the crowd was too distracting, the weather was bad, the ball is in poor quality, etc…
Johnny thought it’s not his fault. He blamed his teammates for lack of focus, lack of skills and basically everything but not himself. So he gave up on the new techniques because he was tired of these fails and mistakes.
But if only Johnny realized that by blaming everything else he failed to see his own flaws. He couldn’t improve on his skills because he didn’t think he was the problem.
If you don’t want to be like Johnny, start blaming yourself for YOUR mistakes and failures. Only when you accept your mistakes, will you be able to improve on your skills because it helps you realize what’s not working and what needs improvement.
3. Exercise Regularly
Exercising is a great activity and a challenge that helps you to be the best you can be everyday. It’s pretty obvious it has many physical benefits like better health, stronger and better looking body, weight loss, boost in energy levels, etc…
But exercising doesn’t only contribute to better physical attributes. It will help with things like reducing stress, making you happier, more creativity, confidence, better sleep quality, relaxation and studies show that it can actually improve your brain performance and make you smarter.
If you set some goals for yourself like, “I’ll exercise 4 times a week” and if you actually commit to it, then you’ll have a much stronger willpower because you keep challanging yourself to reach the desired goal week after week. After a while new challenges in life will be easier to overcome because you already have a strong mind when it comes to challenges.
4. Meditate At Least 5-10 Minutes Per Day
Meditation is one of the best habits you can attain. When people hear the word meditation, they immediately create an image in their head of a monk sitting in a temple all day and not moving an inch while having no thoughts in his head for 24 hours a day.
When it comes to meditation it doesn’t have to take hours. In fact, 5-10 minutes is just enough to calm your mind and get in touch with yourself. It takes time to learn how to keep your mind calm and relaxed for longer periods of time, so everyone has to start slow.
With meditation, you’ll learn to observe yourself much better which will help you to be the best you can be everyday. Meditation has so many benefits that it’s simply hard to resist.
All your bad habits are actually keeping you from personal growth. As you attempt to lose your bad habits and replace them with good ones, you’ll build more willpower and confidence followed by a healthier lifestyle.
Don’t let bad habits overtake your life and take away self-improvement from you. Some habits are rooted deep within your subconsciousness and it’s hard to get rid of them but it’s definitely going to help you improve because you keep beating all the challenges you throw at yourself.
The beginning is the hardest part. With each bad habit broken the next one will be faster and easier to defeat. It’s a great willpower builder and it gives you more self-control!
6. Don’t Forget Good Old Books!
As technology is becoming better and better, good old books are becoming less popular. It’s not very common to hear people talk about books of any sort. How many people have at least 10 books in their house that they have read ? Not too many…
Most successful people have read many books in their life. It’s a source of knowledge and wisdom. You can put that knowledge and wisdom in your actions and make your lifestyle much easier.
Besides knowledge and wisdom, reading books provides you with many more tasty benefits! For example, improved concentration, increased memory, imagination and creativity, stress reduction, writing skills and so on…
Just like meditation, reading books has way too many benefits to be overlooked. You don’t have to read a book everyday. You can read a book in a month for starters. When it comes to books, it might be hard to start reading because it feels boring. Just make it a habit to read for 15 minutes every day. You will see really quickly these 15 minutes will turn into an hour or two because you will be consumed by the awesomeness of reading books!
7. Speaking Of Technology… Don’t Waste Your Time!
Thanks to the newest technologies we have many activities to spend time on. But It doesn’t mean that all of these activities are good for you.
For example, playing video games and watching TV. I’m pretty sure you are familiar with these activities. I’ve used to play a lot of video games and watched a lot of TVs. It’s fun and entertaining, so why not do it ? But the fun and entertaining part has a drawback. It holds you back on your personal development.
Instead of using your time for something useful you actually just waste it. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t ever play games or watch TV, sometimes we need to relax and escape the world. But a lot of people are spending way too much time on activities that have no benefits for them.
Social medias also take a lot of our daily life. Everyone has at least one social media account. The problem is, you get consumed way too much by useless information on those social medias. People look at memes all day long and get nothing useful in return. And that’s never going to help you improve yourself…
Instead of spending all your time on useless activities, try to set aside some time to be the best you can be everyday. Spend time on getting new hobbies, interact with people, read books, meditate and the list could go on and on.
Technologies make our life much easier but it also makes us much more lazy because we basically get everything by a press of a button.
8. Defeat Your Fears
Punch those fears in the nose! All your fears just like bad habits are slowing you down when it comes to personal growth. Just imagine a road… Let’s say this road leads to success. Johnny thinks he deserves some success so he decides to walk this road.
While walking this road, Johnny ran into things he fears the most. What first seemed like a really good idea, now seems too scary and he wants to turn back. With the lack of motivation and no goals, Johnny decides to run away from his fears and never look back.
If only Johnny kept going while crushing all his fears in the way, he would’ve been rich now. Instead, he chose to give up. He failed to realize that the end result is way bigger than all your fears. If you knew that you would become rich if you get to the end of the road, would you do it ?
And if this road is filled with your deepest fears, would you still do it ? Look at your fears as obstacles which are blocking you from reaching your goals.
The best way to beat these obstacles is by making your goal bigger than the obstacle. You will never reach your goals if the obstacle is so big that you can’t even see your goal anymore. So don’t be like Johnny and don’t let your fears block you from success!
9. Observe Your Amazing Friends!
Every person is different and unique in their own way. There’s at least a few things you can always learn from your friends. They are another great source of knowledge and wisdom. They are like books! Just alive…
But there’s a catch. Let’s say your friend has 1 bad habit and 1 good habit. The smart thing would be to develop this good habit as well. But the most likely scenario is you developing the bad habit instead of the good one.
You might think he’s cool because he has this bad habit that make him look like a bad ass and you will copy it. Not by yourself but your subconsciousness will do it for you.
This is where the observation comes in handy. When you realize that you are developing habits based on your surroundings, it’s easier to say “no” to these habits. To be the best you can be everyday you gotta be with the best.
Try to observe your friends. What makes them different ? What special qualities and skills do they have ? Talk with them, let them help, simply communicate. Start thinking how these skills or habits can help your personal growth and slowly start to develop these skills and habits as well.
10. Just take massive action
Without action there can be no results. If you never take action, you will always stay in the same place, you will never move any closer to your goals, you will never succeed.
By taking action, no matter if you succeed or fail, it’s still an experience you can learn from. By having experiences and learning from them we are getting one step closer to our goals.
You can have many excuses why you can’t do something, how you can’t reach your goal because it’s too hard or you’re not good enough. But if you’re always looking for excuses, that’s all you’re going to get. EXCUSES…
Visualize where you wanna be, set big goals so your obstacles wouldn’t become bigger. But most importantly, take massive action if you want to turn your visualization into reality.
Now you know how to be the best you can be everyday, will you take action required to improve yourself ? Don’t tell yourself you’ll start tomorrow, next week, next month or next year.
Just do it today. New year is coming soon and most people have new year resolutions, you probably have it as well. Everyone will try to improve themselves and so will you. But that’s a big mistake.
A new year is just a change of single number. It’s nothing more. Why set a specific date for when you’re going to become better ? Get ahead of everyone. Start making changes today. When everyone will only start to improve themselves next year, you’ll be already way ahead of them.
When someone asks me what’s my new year’s resolution, I tell them I have no resolution. At first, they are surprised because they think that I have no goals in my life and no ambition to do anything.
But actually, I don’t have a new year’s resolution because I take action today, not next year. If I decide I want to do something or improve something in my life, then I’ll start doing it today.
The point is, if you keep putting away your goals to the future, then it will always be like this and the future will never come to reality…
