Reiki Healing Process – Unleash Your Powers!
What is Reiki? It’s a healing technique to transfer universal energy through you to a patient or even yourself. Basically, Reiki healing process works like this:
You transfer energy through your hands to what ever you want to heal. Reiki energy heals your body, mind, and spiritual body, it has no limits and it’s quite easy to start. All you need is some time, motivation and dedication.
A bit of history about Reiki
Reiki was originally founded by Mikao Usui in 1920. Usui did some heavy meditation for 21 days straight and he felt some kind of energy that he called reiki. Over the years Mikao Usui taught reiki to more than 2000 people. 16 of students progressed and reached maximum level and became teachers as well.
Mikao Usui asked Chujiro Hayashi to open a clinic and practice reiki on people who need help. Reiki gained more and more popularity in japan and one day Hawayo Takata visited that clinic and expanded reiki to Hawaii. Hawayo Takata changed a few things, she had many students and reiki started to spread all across the world. In the current day there are quite a few reiki masters in almost every country and it’s gaining even more popularity.
Self Healing without masters
Some reiki guides might say that if you want to start practicing reiki you need to find a master and ask for initiation, well that’s not really true. You can start practicing reiki on your own. Reiki healing process is quite simple, all you need to do is find some quiet place, sit in a meditation form or even sit casually on your chair ( just make sure that your back is straight because it may have negative effect on energy flow).
For starters, you just sit for a while and try to relax, clear bad thoughts and try to feel harmony, try to feel connection to earth. Imagine that energy flows from earth through your feet to your chakras.
Meditate for a while and when you feel that you are ready you can start healing. Simply place hands over your chakras and hold them for a while (for how long? You have to feel it). If you want to place your hands somewhere else for example, your knees, then just do it.
There is no right way to do this, it doesn’t have any rules or boundaries. Just follow your intuition and your feelings. When you feel that it’s enough for today just thank reiki and that’s it. When you finish a reiki session you will probably be thirsty. Water or milk is perfect.
Don’t drink alcohol because your spiritual body is very active so don’t ruin it. Avoid bad Hollywood movies, heavy food and negative thoughts. It’s a good idea to just go to sleep and I can promise that you will have a very calm and good night.
The following day you will wake up refreshed and energized. In my experience, reiki healing really improved the quality of sleep. Once you improve your sleep quality, you will feel much better for the rest of the day.
For your first days you might have a hard time trying to concentrate, various thoughts will hit you every second. If you are having those kinds of problems you might consider to focus and concentrate your mind on few mantras and just think about them.
For example ”I’m without anger”, ”I’m without problems”, ”I love life”. The common question a lot of people ask is ”how much time I have to spend for meditation?”. Well there is no right amount of time you should meditate. You have to feel how much time is enough for you. Every person is different, you don’t have to push yourself for 5 hours straight meditation. Most people start with 10-15 minutes and that it’s alright.
Once you get used to meditation, you’ll find it much easier to stay still and meditate for longer period of times. Don’t worry if it seems hard to increase time. Just keep doing what you’re doing without distraction of time.
Distance and Past healing
There is an option for Distance healing. If you want to heal someone and that person is far away, then this is perfect. Some people even say they like distance healing even more than the close one.
Distance reiki healing process is very simple as well. For starters, you just relax and meditate for a while and when you are ready you simply concentrate your mind on that person you’re trying to heal.
It would be best if that person is prepared as well. Don’t try to heal him if he is not calm or if he doesn’t believe in this energy and simply doesn’t accept your energy.
Another good way to use Reiki is past healing. Just concentrate on the specific year or even an event that you think wasn’t good. If you still have some negative thoughts about past or disappointments, Reiki healing really helps. Generally if you want to succeed at something you need to accept and live with your past.
What happened in the past, stays in the past, so there’s absolutely no reason to feel negative about it. Never focus on the past. Focus on the present moment. Focus on the good things that are happening right now. Feel gratitude for everything you have.
With reiki healing you can heal every living creature. Once again, you concentrate your energy towards them and just place your hands. Pets actually feel this energy very well, but they must accept it.
For example cats don’t trust reiki energy and avoid any kind of energy from human beings. Dogs love reiki energy, just place your hands on your dog and hold for a while, most likely your dog will calm down and accept your healing (it’s a very good way to strengthen your connection with pets).
If your pet (for example, dog) doesn’t calm down and he continues moving it means he doesn’t want reiki healing, so don’t force him to stay put. When your dog just stands up and goes away it means he had enough energy for now.
So don’t fill your dog with so much energy that he would explode (lol). But seriously, try connecting with your beloved animal and experiment with the energy. It’s a wonderful gift from the universe. So, go and heal your sick puppy!
Experiment with Reiki healing
As you can see there are many ways to use reiki, healing yourself, other people, pets and even your past. All it takes is a bit of practice and time.
How often you should use this wonderful ability? You have to decide for yourself. After I started practicing it I became very calm, I count on my intuition way more and generally I just trust my self more.
Without experimenting you won’t develop this ability. Don’t worry it doesn’t work out at first. Just stay dedicated and you’ll sense the flow of energy. Once you feel it, you won’t want to lose this ability!
